On April 9, the city showed up and showed out for a major moment in hip-hop culture as Yung Joc celebrated the 20th anniversary of his breakout hit “It’s Going Down” with an unforgettable event titled “It’s Still Going Down.”
Held in collaboration with GYSRF (Get You Some Rich Friends), the night was more than just a celebration—it was a full-circle moment honoring a record that helped shape Atlanta’s sound.
Behind the scenes, the event was elevated by strong media and branding, including celebrity publicist Cece of Blck Ivory Media, whose work continues to amplify culture, talent, and influential moments like this one.
From the moment guests arrived, the energy was undeniable. The crowd came ready to celebrate, sing along, and relive the nostalgia of a song that still moves rooms two decades later. When Yung Joc hit the stage, the response was clear—the anthem hasn’t lost its impact.
The event brought out a mix of familiar faces and rising personalities, adding to the star power of the night. Celebrity appearances included Beauty in Black’s, George Middlebrook, Erica The Plug, and more, all showing love and support.
More than just a party, “It’s Still Going Down” highlighted longevity, influence, and the power of collaboration. With GYSRF pushing community and connection, and key media figures like Cece helping bring visibility, the event was a true reflection of how culture continues to evolve while honoring its roots.
Twenty years later, one thing is certain—
it’s still going down.
